Band Parents, Boosters and Members XY'ith a flash of new uniforms and the sound of snare drums the XVarren Central band marches quickly onto the football field, struts colorfully down the parade route or plays gaily at a basketball game in the gym. The bands routines add the final touch of color to our sports events. Spring and winter concerts, pep sessions, and Easter sunrise services are also on the agenda for the band. The members work hard during the fall and winter weeks preparing for the district and state solo ensemble contests. A first place in the dis- trict contest is a prerequisite to go on to the state contest. This year. as in previous years, Yfarren is proud of its musicians' high plac- ings in these contests. In some activities or subjects one person is all important. In the band no one is unimportant. From the last chair third clarinet to first ..
