SENIOR HONOR SOCIETY - Rou One: Dianne Dicks, Penny jones, Sara McClarren, Larry Piety, Barbara Wilson, Bill Nicevvanger, Suzy Wfoodward, Nancy Christenberry. R014 to membership in the Senior Honor Society. She was assisted by Larry Piety, vice-presidentg Sara McClarren, secretary, and Bill Nicewanger, treasurer. Character, scholarship, leadership and service are the basis for election by the faculty and for final ap- proval by the society's members. Emphasis on a higher education and continued self-improvement was the objective of the juniors and seniors. Leon Thompson, Latin instructor, sponsored the group whose yearly act- ivities included a dance and a picnic. Tu'0.' Mike Crowe, Bonnie Townsend, Marjorie House, Richard Nye, David Binnie, Barbara Behrman, Ruth Martin, Barbara Morgan. The freshmen and sophomores of the junior Honor Society chose Stan Martin as their president for 1958-59. His officers were Dick Kline, vice-president' Judy Mann, secretaryg and jack Stiefel, treasurer. Candidates for the younger members of the na- tional honorary were chosen for their character, scholar- ship, leadership and service as are their older school- mates. Faculty members nominated eligible students with the approval of the Society.
