Rewards Marjorie House and Daviti Binnie, both seniors, placed high in the National Merit Scholarship contest which was held during their junior year. The results werent computed and announced until this year. Barbara Wilson and Dick Nye, seniors, were outstand- ing achievers in -3-H club work. Barbara won a trip to V7ashington through her high placing in the 4-H clress re- view. Dick won a scholarship because of his high achieve- ments, 'noi --4 'Q- 'ff Every year the Daughters of the American Revolution give a good citizenship award to the senior girl voted by the senior class and faculty to re- ceive it. Mg' A growing school has growing interests, and as XVarren expanded in space and enrollment, the scope of her pupils' interest widened to include many phases of academic and social life. Not only did XVarrenites take part in the many f, ju g 1-.,, 1 T' ,. ' ' 14 H av- 'TV A 7' 'f h 1' f ag. W i 118' . 5 1 a Talking over the experiences spent at the Model United Nations held at the State House are jeff Lantz, Dirk Nye, Bill Nicewanger, Noah Stodghill, Bill Schmitt, and .lim Frederielts. This group of boys were selected from the Alpha Hi-Y The purpose of this ueneral assembly was to acquaint students with the d i f f e r e n t activities provided by their high school, but also they participated actively in various af- fairs throughout the city, state, and nation. XVarren was proud of her suc- cessful representatives who won first place in the State Solo and Ensemble contest. For the boys she sent to the Model UN. at Pur- due University, it was an oppor- tunity to have fun and at the same time advance their knowledge of international affairs, and they learned there the value of thought- ful leadership in all walks of life.
