Swanson, Member WARREN COU TY SCHOOL BO RD In Warren County, the nine elected School Board members are responsible for formulating and passing all legislation which deals with the improvement of the educational system. Each member, representing one of the three regions of Warren County, is elect- ed for a six-year term. The board holds monthly meetings where the problems of finance, business, transportation, buildings, teachers, and students are evaluated and corrected. In planning the annual school budget, the board also appropriates money for various activities. The students and faculty at War- ren Area High School wish to commend and thank these individuals for their devoted efforts.

DEDI CA TI ON . W i JOHN T. SHEA This edition of the 1976 DRAGON is dedicated to Mr. john Toby Shea. A graduate of Warren Area High School, Mr. Shea continued his education at Lock Haven State College, receiving his Masters Degree from Indiana Univer- sity at Bloomington, Indiana. He also served in the United States Army. Since 1967, Mr. Shea has been a physical education teacher and head football coach of Warren Area High School. Active in community affairs, Mr. Shea has served on the Warren County Zoning Board of Adjustment and on his church council. He is often the guest speaker for church groups and various civic organizations. Mr. Shea is a man with a personal commitment toward excellence and victory. He tries to instill in the young people, in his classes and on the football field, the principles of duty, the respect for authority, and the development of strong mental discipline. He is a man who has great loyalty and respect for his fellow man. Mr. Shea displays pride in all he does, be it concerning his work, his home, or his family. As an expression of our gratitude and thanks for his work and efforts at warren Area High School, we, the class of 1976, dedicate this DRAGON to Mr. john T. Shea. 5
