' reg., Q Mr. Stephen Goodwin graduated in 1968 from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, continued his education at Boston State College where he received his Master's degree in education in 1970. This year is his seventh year of teaching US His- tory and Sociology at Waltham High. He is also an instructor in the Driver Education Program and has been a rep- resentative of the Waltham Educator's Association for the past two years. He enjoys life with his wife Marcia and is the proud father of three children, Stephen Ir. , Amy, and Jean. Mr. John Graceffa has been teaching Sociology and US History for the past five years at Waltham High. A Wal- thamite himself, he was graduated from WHS as Senior Class president in 1966 and went on to further his educa- tion at Springfield college, receiving his Master's degree of education in 1972. He also attended Boston College Law School in 1971. An excellent ath- lete, he coaches the Varsity Soccer Team at Waltham High. He lives with his wife Judy. ,Y .. He is a graduate of Arlington High and received both his Bachelor of Science and his Master's degrees in Math from Boston College. He is a Driver Road instructor, summer school teacher, and a very fine and dedicated advisor to the National Honor Society. Under his guidance, this organization has initiated such activities as an annual Toy Drive and the Fernald School Volunteer Program. He has a wife Pat and two children, Brian and Debbie . . Originally he went to the Mass College of Pharmacy, 3 graduating in 1965 and becoming a regis- - l tered pharmacist. While a senior there, I he took night courses at Framingham and Boston State Colleges to obtain teaching A certification. His final certification requirement, student teaching. was ful- filled in the Worcester school system. Once certified, he continued his educa- tion with graduate studies at Boston Col- lege. He got his first teaching job at Northbridge High School. After one year at Northbridge High he taught for a year at the old North Jr. High in Waltham, and then became a math teacher at Ken- nedy lr. High where he stayed for three years. ln this brief period of time, this man founded a yearbook which is still maintained, and also found an opportunity to return to a great love of his, basketball: he coached the junior high team for one year. His previous coaching background in this sport was impressive: while in college he had coached at the Waltham Boys' Club for five years, 1961-1965. During this time, his team fMac's Farmersy won the championship for three consecutive years and qualified for the finals every year. He is still an avid basketball fan who holds season tickets to the Celtics' games. ln addition to working parttime as a pharmacist and being a loving husband, and the devoted father of two children. this man is currently involved in a myriad of activities at Waltham High. He is an excellent math teacher, very dedicated and always willing to help his students. More- over, he has run trips for students to Bermuda and Europe for the past five years and also originated a trip to Montreal which has been an annual event for the past three years. Furthermore, he has been the yearbook advisor at Waltham High for four years, dedicating his free periods, nights, parts of his summer. and even weelzencls to this task. As a token of our deep gratitude and appreci- ation for all the time and effort that this man has given we are proud to dedicate the 1977 Mir- rot to him.

Mr. Jerry Nelson graduated from Newton High School in 1960 and received both his Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees in Science from Boston State College. His education Jrought him to Waltham High School nine years ago and from that time he has been teaching Physical Sciences. His homelife consists of two great children, Matthew and Dawn and a dedicated wife Cindy. Over this period of time, he has displayed concern and a very apparent understanding of the needs of his students. Mr. Charles Rezutti has been teach- ing Earth Science and Physical Sci- ences for six years at Waltham High School. He received his diploma at Newton South High School and fur- thered his education at Boston State College, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in 1971. He is married and has two wonderful children, Lisa and Lora. Through his amiable ways and overwhelming concern for his stu- dents, he receives the recognition which he justly deserves. Mr. Harold Walker is a graduate of Newton South High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts from U. Mass Amherst and Master's degree from Bos- ton University. He has been teaching History and Sociology at Waltham High School for nine years. Besides his classroom responsibilities, he is a Driver Road instructor and a member of the Executive Board of Teachers and the Faculty Senate.
