The 1977 Mirror Staff . X In the fine tradition of the dedication and enthusiasm of the editors of the Mirror, and in their willingness to work above and beyond i, their obligation my editors, Ruth Becker and Patty Corcoran were , outstanding. Ruth was very active in school participating in Senior Revue, Bye Bye Birdie, West Side Story, and two years as a football cheerleader. In spite of this Ruth maintained a high academic standard and was elected to the National Honor Society. At Graduation Exercises she received a School Committee Key for excellence in academics, and the Milton H. and Pauline Gordon Scholarship. At Class Day she was voted Most Likely to Succeed by her fellow seniors. In the fall Ruth will be attending Tufts University. Patty was active in school participating in Drama Workshops, help- ing backstage at many drama events including Senior Revue. She was Class Secretary in 1975 and 1976 and she served as Student Council Girls' Vice President this year. She was voted Personality Plus by her fellow seniors at Class Day. At Graduation Exercises Patty received over 554000 in scholarships, including one from St. Michael's College which she will attend in the fall. It is with a note of sadness that my association with Ruth and Patty must come to an end. To them I say, So long, but not good-bye. It was a very difficult and trying year and these two fine young ladies deserve all the credit for the success of the book. Thanks and Good Luck . -..v.... .--H 'I I v ,,.......-----f 1 Co-Editors Patty Corcoran and Ruth Becker James G. McDonnell - Advisor . .xa.,ciqf-- ---may-fewer' - - ........ Advisor Mr. James G. McDonnell To our yearbook advisor Mr. James McDonnell: It has been a long, hard year, as you, above anyone else, should know. It is now two thirty a.m. and we have almost finished our book. We would like you to know that it was all worth it: the aggravation, the hard times, the people, the hours, etc. After all the time we have spent working toward our common goal, you never lost your faith in us, Cwell not completely anywayj. Moreover, when we thought we had nothing more to contribute you showed us that we really had more to give than either of us imagined. You were always ready to help us out. The yearbook has been more than just a literary and photographic experience. lt has made us more aware of others' needs and desires. Working on the book has broadened our horizons in many aspects. We feel that every endeavorg be it a success or a failure, was a learning expe- rience that prepared us for the world in which we are about to enter. This knowl- edge will be a guideline for our futures. Patty Corcoran and Ruth Becker Business Editors Laura Cooper and Judy Mullen Laura was a hard working and dedicated young lady. She was a Student Council Ward Rep, a member of the National Honor Society, and a partici- pant in Senior Revue. Laura received a School Committee Key and the Class of 1968 Scholarship. Laura will be attending the University of New Hampshire in the fall. Judy was a very talented and mature young lady. Judy was active in school as a hockey cheerleader, a member of the Crimsonettes, and Secretary of the National Honor Society. She is a very talented figure skater having partici- pated in the Ice Chips with Olympics Gold Medalist Dorothy Hamil. She received the Plympton School PTA scholarship and will be attending Middle- bury College in the fall. It is a credit to Laura and Judy that the 1977 edition of the Mirror is the largest and most expensive production netting over S21,000. Their fine work and dedication was appreciated by me and I will always remember them. Thanks for everything. James G. McDonnell - Advisor
