High School May Run in Six Shifts, says Superintendent of Schools Adam Danosky, after a three-hour conference with Principal Harry Fisher of the Senior High School. Pr'esid-ent Richard DeCoste of the City Council says, 'School Situation is Critical'. Missionaries Leave for the Orient V Their Reverences Francis Biggins, John Connerney, and William Atwood, all of this city, left for Upper Rangoon this morning where they will join the Rev. Paul Durkin in his ex- tensive missionary work. Other Walthamites who are now in foreign lands as missionaries are Miss Irene Burke, Miss Dor- othy Jacobs, the Rev. Arthur Erickson, the Rev. Francis Mc- Ivor, and Miss Olga Anderson, secretary to Mr. Mclvorf' Prepare For Polar Flights High Admiral Arthur Chiasson announced today that prep- arations for his flight to the North Pole were nearly complete. His secretary, Miss Lois Seested, has been swamped with let- ters for 'Santa Claus, all of which the Admiral has promised to deliver when he says, 'I-Iello, Santa Claus? Frank Farrar, radio operator for the expedition, will ask Santa to say a few words to us from his ice palace at the North Pole. Chief of, Police, Alton Currin, praised his men for their quick work. When asked their motive by Willard Jackson, police reporter of the Waltham Daily Mirror, Clapp and ,Wilson replied that it was their hobby to collect coins.
