Ten Years Hence ' ' ' February 14 1961 Alumni Editor Class of 1961 Walpole I-hgh School Walpole New Hampshire Dear Sir A few weeks ago I received your letter asking me to inform you of the activities of the Class of 1951 since its graduation During the past weeks 1 have been busy con tactmg my former classmates and have gathered the following sensational information The first reply was from Jack Crehore at his wmter home in Miami Florida As we all know Jack recently became the sixth husband of Barbara Hutton following the divorce of has first wife Shelly Winters about a year ago lt took me some time to contact Sally Perham who is now lxvmg in Alaska It seems that her husband has just opened there an eating establishment which specializes in Mexican food for the Eskxmos Perhaps you will read of the place in Duncan Hines Joe s Snack Bar I understand that B111 Fletcher has combined his interests with Jim Johnson x machinery that is and they operate the largest farm equipment sales company dealmg in International products in the East B111 also runs a huge dairy farm but it is ru mored that he makes most of his money from a chain of night clubs which he owns from New Hampshire she has recently become Speaker of the House The Democratic party is now seriously thinking of running her for president in the next election Finding Walpole short of land Tom Kmiry moved out west in 1955 taking his 70 000 head of cattle with him His financial interests having overflowed the Bank of America he established his own bank a few years ago As a sideline Tom is a Model A Ford dealer Muriel Britton has made a name for herself in the field of fashion Now a top flight designer on the staff of the VOGUE magazine she also operates Haute Couture salons in New York and Paris B111 Houghton is the basketball coach at Vassar and also manages to play for the Knickerbockers during his spare time He is married and has ten children Phyllis Yanizyn is married to a prominent Wall Street broker and she spends most of her time flying around the country in her jet plane looking after her many estates Kenneth Gunnerson writes that he made a great deal of money through shrewd business deals and is now comfortably situated for the rest of his life QThe letter was postmarked Alcatraz Deborah Bartlett has spent most of the time smce graduation furthering her education and earning numerous advanced degrees Recently she became the bride the Count de Moola and they are now spending their honeymoon on the Riviera After studying in Paris and Madrid Jeanne St Peters had returned to this country and is now an internationally famous artist contmued on next page ZZ l O D I I . - Q a o a o n cu n 1 I c , I o Janet W hitman has distinguished herself in politics .
