The above were chosen by their fellow students to represent and lead them throughout the past four years. Zhought-Jnvoking Senior Ceaders Beginning an early school term in August of 1969 the Seniors realized that everything they experienced this year would be the last time in their high school years. They cheered at their last football games, danced at their last Homecoming Dance, attended their last plays, watched their last basketball games, attended their last music festivals, and worked for their final grades in anticipation of May and graduation. The Spring Prom on May 22nd at Emerald Hills added another page to the Senior’s memory album of four years at Walnut High School. Graduation on May 29th closed their last high school chapter in each of the Seniors’ lives introducing them into adulthood. 16 The Senior Class of 1970 was headed by Steve Sidebottom—V. Pres; Jan Foss—Treasurer; Bettie Schoff—Secretary; Marc Brown—President.
