Senior Class Histor Forty-nine Freshmen began their first year at Walnut High in the fall of 1954. Initiation was held September 20th. Our officers for the first year were: Don Wallace Presidentg Roy Fink, Vice-Presidentg and Diana Mungor, Secretary-Treasurer. Our Senator to Student Council was Don Edson The Representatives were Patti johnson, Truman Esmond and Gail Frank Mrs Yonk and Mr Bruss served as our advisors As Freshmen we enjoyed a trip to Chicago, sponsored by G B H We were in charge of refreshments at the Homecoming Dance Our big project for the year was selling popcorn at football and basketball games We also had bake sales to earn money During our second year we chose Truman Esmond as President Verna Anderson Vice President and Diana Mungor, Secretary Treasurer Letty Waterhouse was our Senator First semester Representatives were Barbara Weber Monie Livey and Don Wallace Marlene Kasten Don Edson and Barbara Weber were second semester Representatives Miss Robbins and Mr Bruss were our advisors Our big money making project for the year was selling magazines Our Junior year was really a busy one We had very capable leaders this year Don Edson was President Roy Fink was Vice President and Truman Esmond was Secretary Treasurer Diana Mungor was our Senator to Student Council Marvin Neahring jerry Myers and Gene Calsyn were our Representatives for the first se mester Second semester Representatives were Louise Bell Gail Frank and Don Wallace We had charge of concessions at the football and basketball games We were also publishers of the Raider Roundup the school paper Our float won first prize in the Homecoming parade with the theme We Didn t Finish and Neither Will Wyoming Our class also put on a very good play titled Amazing Gracie Our biggest project of the year was putting on the junior Senior Prom We made U , . . . .
