We the yearbook staff . with this edition of the Renaissance , hope to convey to you the importance of the seasons of your life while furthering your education . One comes here in the Spring of his education as a journeyman, anxious to learn more . He then travels to the maturation of the Summer where all is developing and delightfully interesting. Each automotive unit is approached by starting with the basic theory involved , as the explanation unfolds, parts are added until the unit is com- plete. By following this procedure, each unit has real purpose, and its rela- tionship to complete the car is made clear. The instructor explains the approaches by clear pictures and illustrations, what happens when you turn an ignition key on and start the engine , how energy in fuel is converted into power and the power is transmitted. This automotive mechanics course is recommended by the standard for auto- motive service instruction in schools prepared by the automotive industry, Vocational Education Conference . It covers also, numerous other topics of interest and practical value to the auto mechanics, such as proper attitudes, good work , study habits and safety work habits. The diploma program is an 18-month program designed to train persons for employment in accounting, clerical, and secretarial work. This program does not contain transferable courses and should be entered into only by those persons who do not plan to go on to a four-year college. The degree program is also an 18- month program designed to train persons for employment in accounting, business adminis- tration, and secretarial science fields, but it puts major emphasis on transferrable courses. fi 1-4 n.,l f I I . 95 H Q .XX .N 0 i J N Terry Abbott Mary Jane Aldridge Connie Bates Vicki Bates Carol Bennefield DeAnn Blalock at tttty Belinda Craft Charlotte Cummings Sondra Easterwood 'aw -Q5 ..
