H . ,L,. ,.,,,,,,s Class 117111 We the -raduating class of 1956 feel that our brilliant record and our unusual achievements will live after us, but not wishing to take any chances, we suggest that a tablet, on which shall be inscribed our several names and few of our most astounding deeds, be purchased and placed in the auditor- ium of this school in a position where it will strike the eye of all who enter. And in this manner do we dispose of our possessions: To Nr. Hill we give and bequeath a sense of relief that we have at last benn graduated, pleasant memories of our four years together, and a feeling of pride in any great deeds or noteworthy achievements that our future may contain, realiz- ing that such glories-if any - will owe much to his example and counsel. To our teachers we bequeath our valuable sense of humor, without which we should have found school life painful indeed and which will do much to make it +1curable for them. We also give and bequeath to the teachers our very kind- est regards and our sincere gratitude for their unfailing kindness and aid. To our dear old schoolbuilding itself, we leave the peaceful quiet caused by our absence and our rubber bands, bean shooters and all the other methods of mischieviousness to keep the schoolbuilding in an up roar. We give and bequeath to the Junior class our well-known nerve, which they will need next year, and all the examination questions we have been given during the past year. We believe that an eximanation, like history, often repeats itself. The answers, never owned in entirety, have long since been mislaid by us and are not included in this legacy. To the Sophomore class we give reluctantly but of nec- essity, our mantle of dignity. We realize that the class can never fill it but, since it is expected of them, our advice is, Grin and wear it. To our good friends, the Freshman class, we leave our patience. It will be found useful as the only means by which they can endure the Sophomores. To the Seventh and Eighth grades needing it most, we give BARBARA'S supply of language, which will enable the recipient to talk more and say less than any other human being. Also to the undergraduates who is most in danger of not passing next year, we bequeath JACK'S store of information, which will make it easy for him to pass any test in any subject, at any time. I David Pigott will my ability to coach football to Coach, John Southern. I Tom Upton will my ability to coach, referee, and play ball all at the same time to my brother Neal Upton! I Jim Criss will to Rickie Shuman my reserved seat in Coach's car. I Cam Hess will my ability for laziness during football practice for the past three years to Wayne Pigott. I Jo Ann Alkire will my seat in Shorthand class to any- one that is stupid enough to take it. 3FH!9WWQ ipeviwn wF?Ff R
