III 11213, xsSV an d J the 7-In e s Yun ga ther Q Yoeinbeiet lllslde D Sgae NZQNSQGY Op THE BLUE AND GOLD SERVES THE SCHOOL This year THE BLUE AND GOLD was a part of the Journalism class Therefore five periods a week were devoted to gathering material for articles writmg editorials working on layouts and proofread ing articles The newspaper was published seven times during the school year with Marian Hawkms as the editor and Mrs Lambdtn as advisor Typists are very necessary in the production of any newspaper This year the typists were Patsy Houck Barbara Hummer Jill Frock and Genevieve Altman In 1957 and 1958 THE BLUE AND GOLD placed first in the 100-500 enrollment category of the Junior-Senior High School division in the state of Maryland. w Page editors work on their layouts.
