The Lions were behind by 3 points with less than a minute re- maining, but they finally won in the last 15 seconds. This should have granted Walkersville the right to participate in the district tournament, but due to a protest voiced by Emmirsburg questioning the eligibility of one of Walkers- ville's players, neither team represented Class 'C of Frederick County. Coach Talley and his Lions maintained a very satisfactory record during the 1958-'59 season. Even though they met several difficult opponents, they came out on top many times. This year's varsity team was composed of six seniors and seven juniors. i For the first time Coach Talley's Junior Varsity has been undefeated, The team represented Walkersville High School this year with an enviable record of 18 wins and no losses.
