DEDICA TION TO THOSE WE LEFT BEHIND A CRUISE BOOK QUITE PROPERLY REELECTS THE ACTIVITIES OF A SHIP AND HER CREW DURING AN OVERSEAS EMPLOYMENT. WITHIN THESE PAGES THE READER WILL SEE PICTURES OF FOREIGN PORTS, THE CREW AT WORK AND PLAY, SHIPBOARD EVOLUTIONS AND OTHER OBVIOUS SHIP-RELATED HAPPENINGS. BUT THIS DOES NOT TELL THE WHOLE STORY OF AN OVERSEAS CRUISE. THE DEPARTURE OF A SHIP FROM HER HGMEPORT MARKS THE BEGINNING OF MANY LONELY MONTHS FOR THE CREW AND THEIR WIVES, SWEETHEARTS AND RELATIVES. THIS CRUISE BOOK DOES NOT TANGIBLY DEPICT THAT FACT, BUT IT TOO IS VERY MUCH A PART OF OUR CRUISE MEMORIES. NOT A DAY PASSED WITHOUT REMEMBRANCES OF HOME AND THOSE LEFT BEHIND. AND SO WE DEDICATE THIS BOOK T0 THOSE WHO WERE VERY MUCH IN OUR THOUGHTS DURING THOSE MONTHS - OUR WIVES, SWEETHEARTS AND RELATIVES. SB
