E lllli HI 'I'0liY fConTinuedl Enough happened To us in The sevenfh grade To fill a book, buT we will menTion only a few of The main evenfs. Firsf was The arrival of Bob Pence To our room. He soon became a noforious characTer and we mighf menTion ThaT he was also The apple of all The girls' eyes. Under his leadership, The boys nearly drove everyone mad. One of Their mosT ouTsTanding pranks was To puT incense on The radiaTor and boy, did iT smell! We will never forgeT Thaf day when we all learned To gamble in English class. Looks like iT really TaughT some of us bad habiTs-how abouT ThaT, Poochie? The nexT year found us geTTing old and decrepif, mainly on accounT of The skaTing rink. Some of our seniors made good skafers while The maiorify of us goT around wifh The aid of several pillows and The rail of The rink. The ninTh grade and dear old Walker ! IT found us running up and down The halls looking for The righT rooms and being laTe To all our classes. IT also found John O'Rear up before The assembly on his firsT day here-caughT Talking, as usual. John, won'T you ever learn? Now we have reached The beginning of The Upper Ranks-beTTer known as Senior I. Here we were joined by sTudenTs from many oTher schools. We wish we knew some of Their hisTories so ThaT we could Tell you whaT happened To Them also. The oufsfanding evenfs of The elevenfh grade were The BeTa Club and The Junior- Senior picnics. Bofh were loTs of fun, buf as all of you know, The Junior-Senior picnic would have been beTTer if some of The crowd had noT been Thoroughly ducked when The bridge broke. AT lasT, The year of years has arrived. We are now The Envied Seniors ! And, oh, how we have flashed our new rings. JusT hope no one had Their eyes puT ouT. Now, we've goTTa go, so see ya lafer . . -ELEANOR BLACK, Hisforian. ir 'k if ir 'ir 'A' 'A' 'A' Page 29
