LETTERIIEN le organised a Letteman's Club again this year with Milton Yeoman as our president, Frank Hagey as Vice-President, who later became president when Hilton left for the Army at mid-termgand Lloyd Hyde as secretary-treas- urer. The original members were Jerry Yeoman, Frank Hagey, Keith Peterson, llilton Yeoman, Darwin Christ, and Lloyd Hyde. New members initiated during the first semester, in order to strengthen our authority, included Rod- Jensen, Don Pommarane, Ron Ridenour, and Dick Clark. le were given charge of the lawn, seeing that no one should cross it 3 keeping students, with street shoes, off of the gym floor during basketball seasong and the hall patrol was organised of lettemen. Any one caught in the hall during class time without a pass was fined ten cents or given ten spats in the following assembly - most of them paid. At the end of the year we intend to initi- ate the new football and basketball lettennen. STUDENT CDUNCIL The Student Council of the laldport High School is composed of the stu- dent body officers, class presidents, representatives from each class, and the presidents of al.l other organizations. The council is to decide im- portant issues , enforce and maintain the school constitution, and to act as the school's main governing body in school matters.
