He is not only a man of broad scholarship, but also he has an unusually keen insight into human nature, a quality which a])])ears to a great advantage in handling sixty jjrofessors and a thousand students. His confidence in the students and his manner in dealing with them have reduced disciplinary problems to a iiiini- muin and has been largely instrumental in ef- fecting the fine cooperative and understanding relationship that exists between the students and the administration.
