Tammy, Dan Queen of Hearts Royalty Queen of Hearts was chosen as the theme for the 1981-82 Homecoming festivities. Homecoming week this year included such activities as Crazy feet day and hat day for seniors. The pep club girls made garters for their guys and spirit boxes. On Wednesday, the traditional night pep rally was held which included a junior girls' skit and the burning of the dummy. Decorations for the Homecoming included two giant sized king and queen cards, a 12:05 train. Las Vegas type setting, and of course a queen of hearts. King Dan Veskrna and Queen Tammy Dillow reigned over the occasion. 1. King and Queen of Hearts reign over the royalty throne. 2. Senior boys Pat, Scott, Kevin and Bob wear their hats for hat day during Spirit Week. 3. Homecoming Royalty. Row 1: 1980 Queen Peggy Matson, Cindy Banghart, Robyn Welton, Crown Bearer Jennifer Arp. Speech Team Sends Three To State Speech team attendance this year was at a low, but there were still a few great accomplishments. Tamra Dillow and Tim Govaerts went to state for their duet acting and received a High Excellent'' and a High Superior . Jeanette Pokorny also went to state, performing an interpretation of serious prose. She received a low to high Excellent . Other speech team members were: Ann Mumm and Robyn Welton in interpretation of poetry, Jay Izsoin extemporaneous prose, Bruce Lindgren in original public address, Kevin Simonson in after dinner, Robert Kennedy in humorous prose, and Tamra Dillow also performed interpretation of prose. The sponsor again this year was Mrs. Hudson. 14
