Seniors Remain Largest Ctass It was a great year for most members of the Class of “70”. The seniors kept their lead in class enrollment by remaining the largest class through the four years, and broke class enrollment records in Wahoo High School by graduating 93 students. Class officers were President, Kevin Ludi; Vice President, John Peterson; Secretary, Rand Reynolds; and Treasurer, Bill Valdez. Members representing the Class of “70” in the student council were Gordon Duey, Dale Rood, ahd Lyle Dokulil. Merit scholarship letters of Commendation were awarded to Joy Lehn and Bob Meduna. The Regional scholarship winner was Noelie Ackermann. Alternates were Bob Meduna, Mary Cihal, Diana Tate, and Gordon Duey. The Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow award was presented to Cathy Herbener and Coed Correspondent was received by Mary Lynn Petersen. Those seniors attending the all-state music contest in Omaha were Christie Anderson and Mark Coufal in chorus. Cathy Herbener played her baritone in the honor band. Yearbook editor was Dianne Barry and Chieftain editor was Mary Aim. Two of the ten cheerleaders were seniors, Rita Holstein and Nancy Kolb. Warriorette positions were held by Patty Hrdlicka and Pam Barsell. Debbie Dorothy was drum majorette and Kim Bullock was feature twirler. Seniors who had leading parts in the musical “Bye Bye Birdie” were Steve Yormon, Kurt Christensen, Paula Jack-son, Christie Anderson, and Lyle Scheon.
