The W Club came up with something new this fall, they sponsored a football luncheon for the Booster Club and the merchants who purchased pictures of individual players. This may very well be an annual event after such a successful inaugural program. This fall the members of the W Club purchased a plaque in memoriam of James R. Filbrandt. It will remain hanging in the study hall in memory of our dear friend and athlete. Perhaps you might wonder why the W Club always sells the popcorn at sports activities? They have been using the money earned by selling popcorn to pay for part of the insurance expenses for each boy participating in sports. All present members of the W Club have earned at least one letter in one of the three competitive sports.
