CONCERT AND MARCHING BAND The Wahoo High School Band of 1959-60 had a very busy season. The marching band started off the year with four very fine appearances. Wahoo was honored to receive another invitation to appear at the Nebraska State Fair. This involved marching through the grounds.and parading before the grandstand. The Band's best showing came on September 27 when they competed in the Ak-Sar-Ben Rodeo Band Contest. To prepare for this performance, rehearsals were held from seven until nine every morning. Several evening practices were also held. The exceptional rating of superior was received. The final showing of the band was at Harvest of Harmony in Grand Island. The band received a rating of excellent even though the competition was very stiff. Throughout the football season the band performed at all the home games. After a colorful marching season, the concert band began its work. The first of February the band gave its first winter concert.
