LIBRARY CLUB The Library Club, sponsored by Mrs. Hansson, is in its second year at Wahoo High. The students in the Library Club prepared bulletin displays for the study hall and were helpful as student librarians in the assembly. To raise money the club sold candy. A Halloween party was held for the club's members; and a Thanksgiving Turkey Hop was sponsored by the club for the whole school on November twenty-first. SCIENCE CLUB The Science Club sponsored by Mr. Meyer, its founder, in 1956, is one of the more popular clubs in the school. Each member is required to make one or more scientific projects. However, the club is not all work and no play. The club members enjoy field trips, and this year they sponsored a Science Fair. On November 10th of this year an audience of about 500 people watched with interest the second Science Fair in the history of the school. The floor of the entire gymnasium was filled with over 50 different projects. The projects ranged from model airplanes to the conductivity of water. Many of the items were made by Science Club members and Chemistry and Physics students. National Education Week fell on the same date as the Science Fair; therefore, the speech department and the chorus combined to give a fine pageant well-suited for the national theme. Entitled The Root and the Flower. it was a dramatic presentation of the ideals of the founders of our nation. The band played several numbers including Dixie-Land Concerto and March Forth. The high school held open house after the program and parents were encouraged to visit the classrooms. JUPITER C MISSILE MODEL OF NUCLEAR REACTOR Bill Justsen Allan Kanouff 24
