FRESHMAN CHORUS The Freshman Chorus, organized for the first time this year, was required for all freshmen. The intention was to provide these newcomers to the high school with an activity which would increase their appreciation of music. CHORUS During the first week of September, tryouts were held for anyone in high school interested in the mixed chorus. Fifty-one students were selected by the director, Miss Diffey, for balance in the soprano, alto, tenor, and bass sections. The chorus participated in the Educational Week program presented in the high school. The group was also host to Ashland, David City, Hooper, North Bend, and Valley at the Choral Clinic on January 28. The guest director was Leonard Paulson from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Officers elected were: Robert Cook, President; Debbie Wallace, Vice President; Mary Jane Patton, Secretary; and Robert Valdez, Treasurer.
