Drs. Hedlund and Little Gambles Store SOPHOMORE CLASS PLAY Left to right: RoJane Copperstone. Marvin Tonisicek. Kenneth Kaspar. Julie Ecklund, Robert Valdez. Jeris Schulz In March. 1957 the Sophomore class presented their play “The Teacher's Pet.” Members of the cast were Janie Copperstone, Connie Helsing. Jeris Schulz. Julie Eck-lund, Marla Clausen. Beverly Loukota. Janis. Colling. Gary Copperstone. Ken Kaspar, Marvin Tomsicek. Allan Kan-ouff and Boh Valdez. The scene of the play was a classroom of any school house in any small town in the United States. Marla Clausen played the part of the “teacher’s pet” whose “uppity” ways and influence with the teacher, Janie Copperstone. disgusted the rest of the class to no end. The principal. Allan Kanouff. who tried to straighten things out got so involved in his domestic problems that he was of no help. Things finally worked themselves out. though, to give the play a happy ending. The audience will probably remember most the devil-may-care attitude of the students—other than the teacher's pet, that is. It was interesting to note the different nationalities of the characters all going to the same school and getting along fine. All in all. it was very enjoyable and showed the rest of the school that the sophomore class has ability along the line of dramatics. The play was directed by Mr. Meyer. Wahoo Appliance Co. A. L. Novy Implement
