Joe Bud's Berg Leather Store Wahoo Hatchery Once again Wahoo fielded a superior football team. Under the guidance of coaches Jim Sandstedt and Dale Mielke, Wahoo finished the season with a record superior to any previous Wahoo football team. Wahoo finished the season with seven wins--one tie and one loss. This loss, delivered by a strong O. Westside team, drowned Wahoo's hopes of finishing the season undefeated. BAND OFFICERS Director...................Martin Crandell President.......................Bonnie Prior Vice President ........... McMaster Secretary.................. Kathryn Murphy Treasurer ......................Bill Patton On February 3rd, Wahoo High School was host for the Ak-sar-ben Band Clinic. Students were divided into A and B Bands and placed under the direction of visiting band directors. Mr. Don Lentz conducted the A Band, while Mr. Jack Snider directed the B section of the clinic group. A joint concert which was open to the public was presented in the evening. The event was well received by those in attendance. The Wahoo High School Band, consisting of 67 members, was heard every morning at eight-thirty rehearsing in the old gymnasium. Mass rehearsals were augmented bysectional instruction which proved to be of great benefit to music students. The spirited playing of the band at football games evidenced the enthusiasm which characterized their performances throughout the season. Among many band triumphs, the participation of the band at Midland Band Day activities was undoubtedly their greatest success. MartinCrandell is to be commended for his superior directing of this splendid musical group. MAJORETTES crT Johnson's Deep Rock Service Parmer's Co-Op. O o O qO ft ft'ftW ft Wio A _t.1 i ■ V A.A«0. Magazine subscriptions were sold and donations received toward the fund to purchase the uniforms. The fund was augmented by receipts from summer band concerts, choral and instrumental concerts presented during the school term, and profits from the coat-check stand. The uniforms consist of royal blue slacks, gold jackets, and blue hats decorated with contrasting braid. The uniforms were initiated at the Ak-sar-ben Band Clinic conducted at Wahoo High School in February, 1955. The work was arranged in three sections, the material being printed as each section was completed. Another change in procedure was the appointment of two Juniors to the staff. The experience they received will be of indubitable value in the planning of next year's annual. As Sponsor of the Annual Staff, Mr. Ferguson supervised the work of the various Directors.
