Hamming after the show The ’ Dixie Girl Parade “Georgia Jubilee Minstrel” was presented by members of the vocal groups of Wahoo High School under the direction of Mrs. Val Zetterman. Varied selections and solo numbers were given by the girls' glee clubs, the mixed chorus, girls' duo, boys’ octette, girls' trio and girls’ octette. Seven boys supplied the humorous speaking parts, which offered variety with the songs. The girls groups in colorful formals paraded to the tune of “Dixie Girl” while the boys' glee club sang. Characters in typical minstrel costume performed several stunts, including the well-known “snooting of the apple”, while the “Wm. Tell selection was sung. The lines by the boys in “black-face” were kept moving with the help of the interlocutor. Semiclassical and the better popular songs were furnished by all the vocalists with piano accompaniment and drum and cymbal color.
