Unwavuf Walk 8 A rolllng stone gathers no moss but 1n contrast the graduates of 46 who have been rolhng along together durlng the last four years have acquired useful knowl edge enjoyed the opportunltles of soclal contacts and estabhshed many new frlend shlps Wlth the acqu1s1t1on of these a valuable foundatlon has been establlshed to a1d 1n 8Ch16X1f1g a worthy goal 1n l1fe Reflectmg a moment we recall that many of us started together 1n the vely elementary grades The S126 of our class was augmented as we gradually progressed through Jumor hlgh and hlgh school Here we partlclpated 1n varlous school act1v1t1es and as a group enjoyed the class picnics and parties Much 1nterest was shown and much effort expended 1n the p1oduct1on of class plays whlch were successfully pre sented A major event m our Jumor year was the prom glven 1n honor of the class of 45 Th1s was held 1n an atmosphere of a summer garden 1n the pav1l1on of the Wahoo Park As a class we accepted the challenge to produce an annual It IS our deslre that a precedent lS set fox the future graduatlng classes of Wahoo Hlgh School Day by day we strlved and learned not to be weary 1n well do1ng Whether we took part 1n muslc or fllled the capaclty of a scholar we had a responslblllty toward our fellow students as well as ourselves Each task was an asslgnment whlch was to be accompllshed thoroughly and well Together we set forth as Crusaders on a pll grlmage seekmg an educatlon and establlshlng as our goal a readlly 8CC6SSlb1e store house of knowledge Wlth our teachers rendeung the1r servlces as guldes we were led and stlmulated by the1r helpfulness mstructlon and whole hearted co operatlon As a result of thelr splendld leadership we have come closer to our goal The name of each graduate would be necessary 1f all those who partook of educatlon and cor trlbuted to th1s Journey were to be enumerated In looklng forward we stand now as 1nd1v1duals on the threshold of new and un known expemences Reluctantly we leave the halls of our Alma Mater a school of whlch we are ughtfully proud We wonder and ask ourselves what new problems aW31t us and how we w1ll face each of them May our work of the past help us to de Clde mtelllgently 1U the future The world stands before us Waltlllg As we create to morrow by the actlons and thoughts of today we see clearly what an asset our educa t1on IS to us Smce opportunity does not come but IS already at hand grasp It f1rmly and endeavor to meet the world w1th steadfast courage Then wlth the poet who holds ln v1ew never endmg progress cry Excelslor Laurahe Nelson . l . , ' K I 7 7 3 b ! .
