Gibb PEP TEAM A new feature at the basketball games this year was the pep team, composed of girls from the five higher classes under the direction of Miss Vera Robertson, music supervisor. The girls, in white with blue and gold caps and scarves, drilled between halves of the games forming the first letter of the name of the home team and of its op- ponents. This added attraction drew larger crowds to the games and helped to pro- mote loyalty to the school. REVIENV OF THE l929 TRACK SEASON The 1929 track team started well with 6 lettermen reporting to Coach Cowell. With half the sea ' ' ' ' ' son over at this writing they have one victory and one defeat to their record. A future meet has been scheduled with Wesle Th yan. e County meet is to be held at Wahoo on May 4, and the state meet at Lincoln the following week. The members of the team are Dick Hood, Lloy Bryant, Melvin Croshaw, Leo Coady, Harvey Lampert, Wilbur Cameron, Ralph Treptow, Robert Phillips and Marcus Barrett. The results of the two meets held are: College View 53-Wahoo 51. Weston 39-Wahoo 50.
