SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1965 136 seventh Graders walked 1nto the s range halls of Wahama Jumor Htgh For the1r efftcers they chose Kathy Foglesong as Presldent Sus1e Mc'Damel as VICE Presldent and Sherry Hartley as Secretary Treasurer Cooke as Secretary and Harrtett Layne as Treasurer We were proud to have two of the class me mbers ln the Student Councrl as offtcers They were Brent Clark V1ce Presldent and Kathy Foglesong as Secretary Treasurer Golden Horseshoe wlnners were Gary Blackhurst, Sarah Carsey and Brent Clark Harrtett Layne won the D A R Amerlcan HISIOIY Award 130 freshman returned rn the 1967 and elected Skeeter Ohltnger as thetr Presldent Trm Howard as VICC Presldent and Ketth Sayre as Secretary Treasurer Student Counctl Representattves were Ketth Sayre, Conme Haggerty, and Skeeter Ohllnger Offrcers of the Student Counctl were Brent Clark, Prestdent Kathy Fovlesong, Vrce Presldent and Sarah Carsey Secretary Treasurer The Chrlstran L1v1nG Award went to Kay Hoffman The D A R Good Lttlzens were Brent Clark and Becky Grlmore llarrtett Layne and Becky Gllmore were selected for All State Band The fall 1968 brought 120 sophomores tnto the halls of the Semor Htgh School Officers for the lrvely sophomores were Brent Clark, Presldent Tlm Howard VICE Pres1dent llarrtett Layne, Secretary and Suste McDamel Treasurer The Student Councrl Representattves were Chettt Hayes, Brent Clark, Gary Tedesco, and Kathy Foglesong Majorettes from the sophomores were Becky Gtlmore and Conme Grlland The Homecomlng Attendant was Llnda Holbrook The sophomores were honored when three sophomore curls became queens Bonme Ord was Mass Autumn RCg1l'l3. Also tn March, the ftrst Jumor class play for many years was held. The tttle was THAT GROOVY GURU and the cast conslsted of Davld Russell, Lee Bumgarner, J1IT1 Artts, Bob Dye, Ltbby Brown, Cozy Cooke, Harrtett Layne, Becky Gllmore, Sherry Hartley, Nancy Roush, Skeeter Ohltnger, 1'ranc1s Queen, V1Ck1 Bumgardner, Joyce McCoy, Reglna Hesson, and Marsha Dav1s. Awards went to Kelth Sayre and Brent Clark, Boys' Stateg Cozy Cooke and Kathy Foglesong, Glrls' Stateg Cec1l1a SITIILI1 and Suste McDamel, Camp Horseshoe, and Harrtett Layne, D.A.R. Hlstory Award. Seven Jumors were chosen for All State Band: Conme Gtlland, Kay Hoffman, Sus1e McDamel, Harrtett Layne, Becky Gllmore, Angela Sayre, and Gary Blackhurst. The year ended wlth the b1g event The Prom. The theme was 'Evening tn Ven1ce and soon after the Prom was over, Brent Clark was elected Prestdent of the Student Councrl and Cozy Cooke was elected Secretary Treasurer of the Student Councll for 70 71. Cozy Cooke and Harrrett Layne were selected for 'Who's Who 1n Ameucan Htgh School llonor Socetty. Bobby Dye was a page for Congressman Ken Hecker tn Washtngton, D.C. Harrtett Layne and Conrtte-rH erty won a week tn Washlngton. V1ck1 Bum 1 gardner went to Conservatlon Camp. Conme fit-Q, and Kathy Foglesong selected for ' Who's .wart i f . Student Council Representatives were Debbie Jones, Bonnie Ord, Becky Gil- Keith Sayre, andSherry Hartley. Head majorette was Becky Gilmore and Cozy Cooke Connie Gilland, andlSusiIe McDaniel as majorettes. Homecoming Queen was Regina Hes son and her Senior attendants were Connie Haggerty and Linda Holbrook. The Senior candidate for Miss Thanksgiving was Chetti Hayes. The Seniors' candidate for Miss Mistletoe was Debbie Jones. Band members were Angela Sayre, Kay Hoffman, Gary Blackhurst, Becky Gilmore, Gary Tedesco, Jimmy Artis, Connie Gilland, and Susie Mc- Daniel.
