The Wahama White Falcon football team played their first game against Huntington Vinson under the lights at Middleport Stadium, The class B champs proved to be too tough for the inexperienced Wahama eleven, Vinson won 20-6, Showing signs of improvement through the next week of practice the Falcons battled to a 0-0 deadlock against the Pomeroy Panthers on Pomeroy Field, Next on the schedule was Middleport, Middleport was rated as one of the best ball clubs in the local area, Wahama completely stopped the powerful Yellow Jackets on the ground but they took to the air and sent Wahama to their second defeat, 20-0, With one tie and two losses the Falcons found themselves facing Chauncey, a ball club with a string of twenty- three consecutive wins and an all state halfback, The ever improving Wahama machine lost to Chauncey 32-7, but they had won themselves a name by playing head up ball. Still seeking their first win, the ever imlroving Wahama eleven traveled to Paden City to find out that they could win also, Paden City, a team with a good record, went to a crushing defeat, Wahama won 20-6. With a taste of victory Wahama traveled to Point Pleasant to play one of the most bruising and unpredictable ball games ir1 history, After forty-eight minutes of back-breaking football Wahama came out on the short end of a 7-6 score.

From this period of the season on the Falcons just cou1dn't be stopped, they polished Ravenswood off 13-7, run roughshod over Rutland 28-6, outplayed Hurricane 20-0 and tinished their season by clipping Chester 48-12, Waharna's season record was five wins, one tie and four losses, They came out on the good end of their season not just by winning, but being known and remembered as The team that never quit.
