Homecoming “87” 1987 Homecoming. It seemed as if everyone took part in some activity which really made this Homecoming a fun, exciting, meaningful one. The week started out with the coronation of Dave Tentis as king and Val Graner as queen. The coronation is usually followed by a bonfire and then a trip to the football opponent’s town. However, this year we all listened to what the administrators said. When they said NO CARAVAN, we had no caravan. During the week many things went on that the student body participated in to make it a good one. The days of the week for Homecoming included “Pajama Day, Backwards Day, Sweatpants Day, Red and White Day, and Mix and Match Day.” One major event that takes place every year is the Powder Puff football game. This year the Senior Class of ’88 won. (Of course.) Friday afternoon we paraded down Main Street in Wabasha. Now that was fun!!! And that night we met the Cardinals on the football field. A big THANKS to our football team for winning the game against Lewiston. We never thought we would win! Rogue’s Gallery provided the entertainment Saturday night at the Homecoming dance. Did you remember that? Only “In My Dreams.” The future W-K football cheerleaders. (Top: C. Passe Left: D Anderson Bottom: C. Meurer Right: S. Severson) Top: The Winning Team (S. Leisen, G. Babai, B.
