Executive fficer COMMANDER 1. BARKER lll Our XO, CDR joe Barker, was the ramrod of WABASH's many administrative functions. Through his expertise, creativity, and tireless effort, each major task was accomplished in a timely manner. During WESTPAC 84 XO Barker spent many hours seeing that the junior officers were well trained as division officers. During unreps he could always be seen on the Starboard bridge wing directing that particular evolution. XO Barker was respected by the officers and crew as a thoroughly dedicated Naval Officer. Having left WABASH shortly after the Change of Command we wish him Fair winds and following seas.
