This year it won first place in the com- petition sponsored by the Military Order of Cooties and participated in national band competition at Miami, Florida, where it placed second. It received a superior rating in both the Southeastern Band Festival and the District Seven Music Festival. In addition it has represented the school and the city in many parades and concerts and is looking forward to a busy summer and fall.
