LIBRARY CLUB The Virginia Parrish Library Club is pri- marily a service club. Founded in 1933 by Miss Annie Aaron, its objectives are to en- courage the reading of good books on the part of the club members and the student body. to aid in library processes whenever practicable. and to develop leadership. This year che membership consisted of twenty-six high school students doing such iobs as lending and receiving books and other materials, reading shelves, checking magazines in, keeping the magazine rack in order. pasting pockets and date slips in new books, filing catalog cards, counting circulation, keeping the library neat and bright. and doing other routine jobs. The club has helped process books for use in the elementary schools for the last five years. This has been a very busy year because of the work for elementary schools and the inf creased high school enrolhnent. The club sponsored an assembly program presented by the Virginia Intermont College drama students during book week. 'l'he meme bers also had an outing at Masscngill's Farrn in the fall, and plan another for Spring. The Library Club is under the sponsorship of Nliss Leone Cooper.
