Our wish is that it will help to keep prominent with us that spirit which taught us in the words of Emily Dickinson, of whose poetry she was so fond and some of whose lines have been illustrated in this volume, — That such have lived enables us The tranquiller to die,- That such have died, certificate For immortality. " o nte nt The Faculty Classes Activities Sports We, the Class of 1933, dedicate the third volume of The Wiswam to Miss Luella Townley, who was at the time of her death senior member of the faculty, faculty adviser to the Student Government Association, sponsor of the Junior Class, sponsor of the Luella Townley Literary Society, and faculty adviser to the Staff of the 1933 Wigwam, in tribute to her able leadership and her never ending interest and kindness. The League is now in its third year of existence. As a means to the above end, various methods have been tried. The first year under the direction of Mr. Sartur Andrzejwski the Art faculty gave a series of lectures which were very instructive, as a special feature. Last year under Miss Christine Burke various outside speakers addressed the students concerning things of interest in the Art World; this year the League has had " Go and See ' trips as a special incentive to Art.
