All District Reflects ALTON KIBODEAUX, 1st Team Defense TACKLE The Vinton Lions snared seven positions with six players on this years 4-AA all District Team. This was indeed testimony to the Coaching ability of our fine staff and to the ability to the Vinton Lions. In comparison the State Champs who were from our district only managed to place seven players on the District team in eight positions. Larry Loyd and Glen Ray are both Juniors who will be back with the Lions next year and will un- doubtedly be part of next year’s success formula for Coach Barbeau's Touchdown Machine. Iowa Falls 12-6 in Finale Out of the District 4-AA race the Lions were playing only for the prestige of winning, and winning was a second nature to Big Red who for the first time in four years missed a playoff berth due to injuries, and two ties. However the State Champs had tasted their only defeat at the claws of the Lions headed by Coach Barbeau, Mueschke, and Lewis the Lions mentors.

GLEN RAY, 1st Team Offense BUDDY CARLSON, 1st Team Defense GUARD 2nd Team Defense Line Backer HALFBACK Vinton Roster On almost every key block, every do or die tackle, every goal line defense, and all of the Lions touchdown drives found these players right in the midst of all the action. These six players certainly personified the spirit, and drive and never-quit attitude of the Vinton Lions. Every 4-AA Coaches clip board in the dis- trict had these players down for dangerous opponents who posed a threat all sixty minutes of a game. KEN BROUSSARD, 2nd Team Offense CENTER
