PROPHECY The Three Witches: Double, double, toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble. First Witch: Speak. Second Witch: Demand. Third Witch: We'll answer. Questioner: Speak, if you can. Speak, I charge you! What are your prophecies for the Seniors of 1956? First Witch: I see David Donaldson trekking down the open highway singing Every- body's Got A Home But Me. (I wonder why?) Second Witch: Before my eyes comes Midget Bertrand slimmed down to a mere Sixteen Tons. Followed by J. C. Richmond singing That Old Black Magic. Third Witch: Edward Kelly dressed in a tux, top hat, and carrying a cane sings To Be Alone as he runs from old maid Irene Robertson who shouts Don’t Stay Away Too Long. First Witch: Before me appears Elizabeth Aldredge saying Ain't That A Shame as Billy Broussard dances toward Linda Arabie singing Let Me Stay In Your Arms. Second Witch: As Gayle Jardell On Bended Knee smiles at Walterine Beard she says Let Me Go Lover. Third Witch: I hear Wayne Doucette singing I Forgot To Remember to Forget to Margo Pesson who answers I’ve Got Troubles of My Own. First Witch: To me appears Levada Bass saying Hold My Hand to Milton Trahan whose Band of Gold fits perfectly. Second Witch: Alice Bellard tells me all about her forthcoming marriage as she sings In My Diary. Third Witch: Crazy Little Mamma, Barbara Bryant, appears before me wondering whether John Dugas is a Devil or Angel. First Witch: Adorable Kay Reeves bops gracefully up to Wallace Parker, singing Don't Tease Me. Second Witch: Ruth Richmond sings See Ya Later, Alligator as she leaves J. L. Vincent who says, Tomorrow Night. Third Witch: Ann Cormier says, Am I Just Another Dancing Partner to Ronald Cas- well who answers, Stay Off My Blue Suede Shoes. First Witch: Joe Quinn sings Blue Darling to Shirlene Oakley who answers, Poor Me. Second Witch: In Smoky Joe's Cafe I see Buddy Johnson and Kenneth Mathews play Hide and Seek with Lucille Cain who sings, Only You to both of them. Third Witch: The last scene which comes before my vision is Audrey Arabie, The Great Pretender, surrounded by J. R. McNally, Earl Evans, Richard Breaux, Charles Guillory, Dale Plummer, Gerald Perkins, J. M. Williams, and Jimmy Walsh as they sing Play It Fair and Memories are Made of This.”
