CHILI SUPER 1969 Members of different organizations are shown stiring the chili that fed hundreds. The Annual Chili Supper is sponsored each year, since 1953, by the alumni and is attended by hundreds of students, fac- ulty, staff and alumni as well as towns- people. Each campus organization is given an opportunity of having a fund raising booth and the Green Auditorium is turned into a veritable “‘market-place.” Dr. Beckes stops at one of the booths at the Chili Supper. 14

GENIEVE AND THE GENERATION GAP Genieve Grant, played by Miss Amy Loomis, listens to an outburst by Harry Winkler as Rolf. Troy Demetrius, played by Tom Jones, argues with Rolf as Mike Messmer and Betty Dunstan look on. “Genieve and the Generation Gap” was the fourth campus produc- tion written and directed by Robert Cagle. The two act play featured Miss Amy G. Loomis as Genieve, a retired broadway star who found herself in conflict with the morals and politics of the younger generation. This attempt to examine the generation gap can be considered as another of the stepping stones in Robert Cagle’s bid for a suc- cessful production. 15
