One of the busiest organizations in Lincoln High is the Lincohi Playshop, sponsored by Miss Elwood Miller and Mr. Charles Bridges. As has been the custom in the past, a three- act play is presented in the fall and in the spring, and a one-act play which is given for a convocation. There is a lot of fun in presenting ' a play, but with the fun comes much hard work. Many months of practice, late hours, and stage work go into these productions. Playshop not only combines work with play, but assists its members to develop a feeling of poise and confidence be- fore an audience. Each member tries his best to carry his own responsibilities in making the play a success. In the spring, persons with a specified num- ber of lines and points of recommendation are initiated into the National Thespian Society. These people are given special awards for their outstand- ing ability and work in dramatics. 20
