Awards and Programs Encourage Left: The American Legion Football Award is presented annually. Pictured left are Paul Borden, chairman of the 1959 award banquet; Gary Walker, recipient of the award; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Walker, his parents; and Ray Mills, coach of the 1959 Alice Football team. Below: Girls enrolled in home eco- nomics compete for the Betty Crocker Award and title Homemaker of the Year. The girl making highest score on a general homemaking test is winner in each school. Awards are also given on a state and national basis. Rita Jones, pictured below, was the Lincoln High Homemaker of the Year. m -- ' Above: Daughters of the American Revolution each year give a good citi- zen award to an outstanding senior girl, chosen by members of the senior class and faculty. Girl scoring the high- est on a general test represents the county in the state contest. Sue Chattin, above, was chosen for the Good Citizen Award at Lincoln High. Right: The annual Kiwanis Club award to the basketball player showing the best mental attitude was presented to senior Floyd Stephens. Pictured with him are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Stephens, and Don Felnar, president of Vincennes Kiwanis Club.
