l N O Wy.. . ..- bei -'luJ:J7 'dsfv' , . UA, 'PQ 'in 'Illli lflilllilil Our chapel is the center of many campus activities, originating with the Senior Ring and Sweater Cere- mony in September, and culminating with the Graduation Baccalaureate Mass in Iune. The large wooden doors swing open wide revealing the glorious interior of our chapel. Depicted in stained glass windows is the life of our beloved ioundress, Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini. The cross, which adoms the steeple, grandly reaches out into the beautiful California sky, giving inspiration to the many who behold its majestic splendor. The silhouette of this tower- ing edifice can be seen from nearly any point of our lovely school grounds. fi Wonderful gomposite - Villa Cabrini Academy High - amalgam of nationalities, religions and personalities. You are a part of this Academy, a part of the activities, the spirit and the respon- sibilities. You have learned to achieve perfection, accept honors and defeat and to appreciate the value of practical knowledge. You are advancing, progressing, knowing the wisdom of fellow- ship and common endeavor. Yet there is a separateness in our togetherness, for you must go your own way, reaching the goals you have set before you and growing closer to God and His plan for salvation. As you leave the portals of Cabrini as the ideal Christian woman, remain faithful to your Alma Mater. I CONTENTS FOREWORD .................................................... ........... Freshman year brought the novelty of high school life, While Sophomore year settled us into the routine that a high school career demanded. As Iuniors, We advanced spiritually, scholastic- ally, and physically, thus preparing ourselves for the final year at Cabrini. Gur Senior year, the last year, brought with it the crowning of our achievements and the fulfillment of all preparation, enabling us to make that first step into the future sure and strong. To mature, to accept, to "progress" - this is what Cabrini means to us. A 'W f' - ' ' -f e ,S 5-'W 'Y him? OLYMPUS RUSS VINCENT REALTY COMPANY Hollywood, California 169 TEAM WORK lt's all very well to have Courage and skill And it's fine to be counted a star, But the single deed with its touch of thrill Doesn't tell us the man you areg For there's no lone hand in the game we play, We must work to a bigger scheme, And the thing that counts in the world today Is, How do you pull with the team? They may sound your praise and call you great, They may single you out for fame, But you must work with your running mate Or you'll never win the gameg For never the work of life is done By the man with a selfish dream, For the battle is lost or the battle is won By the spirit of the team. You may think it fine to be praised for skill But a greater thing to do Is to set your mind and set your will On the goal that's just in viewg It's helping your fellowman to score When his chances hopeless seemg lt's forgetting self till the game is o'er And fighting for the team.
