South American Motif Used At Annual Prom To stress the good neighbor policy the junior class used a South American theme for the annual Junior-Senior Prom at the Masonic Temple, May 8, from 8:30 until 12:00 with Frank Shaffer’s orchestra. This theme was used throughout the prom in invitations, decorations, and party favors. On the general committee in charge of tickets were Miss Grace Van Horn and Louis Fratto; decorating, Mr. Edward Powell, Daniel Cole, Amelia Young and John Hardman; game room. Five Take Performance Tests For Office Positions in State Having successfully passed their written state merit examination for stenographer or typist in January, Mary Virginia Audia, Betty Jean Yates, Josephine Diaz, Mildred Townsend, and Betty Hoover were qualified to take a performance test on May 9. As yet it is not known whether the girls have passed the second examination but if they have they will receive employment in the state office of West Virginia. We were all especially glad to welcome Betty Toothman in for a short visit, to the festivities.
