LA RAZA IDA La Raza Unida is an organization on campus which has been established for Chicanos so that they can learn more about their culture. It gives them a place to meet with friends from their own background. The group also encourages Chicanos to stay in school and increase understanding between teachers and students. The club has sponsored fundraisers to raise funds for their annual trip to Magic Mountain. The group also provides scholarships for the Cinco de Mayo Queen and a senior member who has shown academic excellence throughout school. These scholarships aid the Chicano stu- dent in furthering hisfher education so that hefshe may help their urazan in the future. 210 Qrganizations we KW i 'Y if V A? f . I i'f' Q. W 2 f First row: L.
