if Girl's Tennis The girl's Varsity tennis team started the season off with a nail biting victory over San Gorgonio C9 to gl. They edged them off by winning in games Q87 to 841. They were strong through the entire season by having only four losses. They accomplished their 1 3-5 record with the aid of SAI.'s number one doubles team, Chris- tine Gale and Manon Houter. Christine Gale was also most valuable singles player with Judy Green and Brinda Anlcers as most valuable dou- bles players. It was a year for rebuilding the team, with only two returning players and a new coach, Martha Lee. They were struggling all season long placing seventh in San Andreas League and they didn't malce CIF. Next yearls team will be stronger after struggling with the setbacks from this year. Sonya Sefcilc captured Most Valuable Player and Mary Daily was Most Inspirational. The volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season against Yucaipa, 2-4 and suffered seven more losses until they finally beat He- speria, 3-1. It was a disappointing season ending with a loss to Apple Valley, o-3. They ended the season with a 3-I4 record.
