UN ACTIVITIES eSCOping i mDmtow Fun activities provide a chance for students to interact in a non- academic atmosphere. These activ- ities bring students together not on- ly to have fun but also to display their talents and creativity. School plays provide an opportunity for as- piring actors and actresses to per- form and to entertain the student body and community. Students who enjoy performing can also audition and participate in Miss Reveille, the air band competition, or the talent show. Providing fun for an even larger number of students are the school dances. In addition to the prom sponsored by the Junior Class, this year the SGA hosted several casual events such as the sock hop and the Valentine ' s dance. The annual pre- exam break. Rebel Day, allowed stu- dents to enjoy a time of relaxation before the end-of-the-year rush to study. Setting up the Spanish Club dart throw. Lip-syncing in the air band contest winning performance. Setting the table for the Halloween costume com- petition. Trying out for a part in the spring play. Dancing in the dark at the sock hop. Auditioning for the Miss Reveille dancers.

OflECOfllJVO e4)eAie ciKg iS t w[adm2 s Homecoming 1988 proved to be thrilling for all participants. Class- es, clubs, and homerooms hastened to put the finishing touches on signs and doors as the SGA made final preparations. During the day, stu- dents wandered the halls and at- tended classes dressed in uncusto- mary attire — togas, pajamas, horn- rimmed glasses, and poodle skirts. Friday, hard working juniors won the pep rally spirit stick and later were announced winners of the cov- eted class sign award. That night, pre-game activities included performances by the show choir and Rebelettes and the annual releasing of hundreds of balloons. Students, parents, and returning alumni enjoyed the halftime activ- ities, culminating in the announce- ment of Kristee Lively as homecom- ing queen. The night ended with a Midnight Madness dance spon- sored by the Leo Club. Freshmen playing dress up. Everyone anticipating the team.
