Homecoming Brings Fun and Victory Homecoming excitement began as clubs and classes worked hard to prepare their floats. The winning club float was the Key Club ' s Blast the Cavaliers. The Freshmen won in the competition between classes using the theme, Rebels Give the Cavaliers Friday Night Fever. The night before Homecoming everyone turned out for a super bonfire and pep rally. During Homecoming Day, Rebel Spirit really began to show as the winners for hall decora- tions, and door decorations were announced. The Sophomores won the hall decorations, and Miss Lelia Patterson ' s homeroom won the door decoration contest. Jeff Meredith won the craziest hat competition. During the pep rally some of the football players dressed up and performed a dance routine to Flashlight . The Juniors won the spirit stick at the pep rally, with the Seniors receiving Honorable Mention. That night Mr. Gary Pledger emceed the pre- game and halftime activities. Before the game the Band and the Rebelettes performed in a pre-game show. During halftime, which was highlighted by fireworks, the Homecoming Court was presented, and Suzanne Lawrence was crowned Homecom- ing Queen. ' y ni FEVER B1W Y N fCWT ) .», ■• 20
