Basketball The Logger Basketball team was one of the finest in many years. After losing four of the first five games, the Loggers finally jelled and won their next eight games. The Loggers lost only two league games in capturing the Western-Division crown. The two victories over our rivals, Seaside, were the highlights of the season. The last victory insured the Loggers a berth in the play-offs where they defeated Scap-poose the first night, but lost to Neah-kah-nie the second night. Fred Smith, Dave Larson and Jerry Hanson led the Loggers in scoring attack. Fred and Dave received first team All-League honors. Jerry received second team All-League honors. Both Fred and Jerry were picked to the fifth team All-State. Jerry and Fred jump for rebound. SPONSORED BY: Bruno Studio Portland, Oregon
