JOE TAYLOR YOE GARY WRIGHT CURLY Well, here goes another edition of the '56 Newsletter, and some news of our old classmates. Poor Allan Ade, we knew the law would catch up with him the way he drove that Ford. Well, he smashed a fence. Don't worry though; Bayley and Parrish, Attorneys-at-Law, took his case and should get him free. Now it's World Series time. We notice a Bolmeier who has led the Pirates up to the world series. Checking up, we find that it is none other than Gretchcn. She became an All-American first baseman at College of Puget Sound, and gave up medicine for baseball. Richard Bush, the world famous pianist, has made the nation's women forget Liberace. Don Cook of the Navy Reserve boys has finally made seaman apprentice after 10 years of active duty. Famous scientist, Urban Helvie, has discovered a cure for the dread disease, Yglebzya. Dr. Helvie is now married to the former Priscilla Hickman. Poor Roy Higley is still a freshman at O. C. E. He just can't seem to adjust to college life. Gary Wright is touring the country giving exhibitions of muscle control. Ed Moses is worth millions now that he has struck uranium and Virginia Johnson has just become engaged to him. Darrell Fluke has been elected mayor of Vernonia. He and his lovely wife now have 12 charming children. Stanley Enevoldsen has discovered he can sing and is now the Elvis Presley of 1966. His recording of ’’Pink Suede Shoes has sold over 2,000,000 copies. David DeHart struck oil and now owns United Air Lines.Sharon Gwin is still at home in Vernonia waiting for Bob to get out of the Navy. Dick Johnson is a hermit in the hills above Mist since Joyce left him. She has just divorced her seventh husband. Bill Ostrander, the five times U.S. Liars Champion, is now giving talks throughout Europe and Asia. Loretta Mills never stopped growing, so she dyed her hair and plays basketball for the All-American Redheads. Nate Pearson has put his high school knowledge to work and now owns a coast fleet of Laundromats. While in New York recently, Patsy Wildt, who is determined to be an old maid, and I attended the Stork Club. There we were surprised to see several of our old classmates on the program. A singing group named the Logger Trio turned out to be none other than Margie Marr, Joan Peter and Bertha Keasey. On our way out of the Stork Club I saw a big husky person leaning against the bar. A closer look told me it was my old pal; Virginia Ray. My last night in New York I went to the city's best burlesque theater where I heard June Jones and Deloris Olson were playing. Those girls put on quite a show! While in Washington, I called on Admiral Jim Weller who is now commander of the U. S. Pacific Fleet. Pat Normand Goodman still lives in Vernonia where her husband owns a logging company. Bonita Rainwater, the brilliant physicist, has become the first woman on the Atomic Energy Commission. Vern Siedelman is still broken up about losing his first Ford. Pat Brissett is now running a health bar to keep everyone slim. In closing, I want to tell everyone the good news.
