After being initiated, we were given a party.. Through the help of Mr. W'ilkerson, our class advisor, we became fair- ly good students. We had several honor students in our Freshman year. They were: Ellen Ek, Emily Poetter, Ethel Tousley, Frances Lappe, Della Cline, Thelma Spencer, Betty Culver, and Russell Peck. In 1926, we became sophomores and had our chance to initiate the Freshmen. We elected Mr. Wilkerson for our class advisor again. Our honor students were: Ellen Ek, Ethel Tousley, Russell Peck, and Frances Lappe. Now, we are Juniors, with Mr. Wilkerson still as our class advisor. We are represented in almost every activity in school. Della Cline and Archie Adams represented us in basketball. Archie and Oliver Mellinger were football lettermen. La Velle Gosa, Della Cline, and Archie Adams are on the annual staff. Della Cline, Ethel Tousley, La Velle Gosa and Thelma Spencer are on the debate team. And our honor students this year are: Della Cline, Thelma Spencer, Betty Culver, Russell Peck, Ellen Ek, Louise Miller, and Frances Lappe. April twentieth we presented our class play, Smile, Rodney, Smile, which was a great success. Our Junior 'prom proved to be one of the best ever given in V. H. S. We are now eagerly' looking forward to the same time when we will be seniors and when we can do more and better things for our school. Page Seventeen
